The Horizon Results Booster Service Request

Decription of the services

Fill in the FOLLOWING FORM to submit the expression of interest of your project or cluster of R&I projects (here identified as a “Project Group”) for benefitting from the services provided by the Horizon Results Booster.

Project

is defined as any undertaking, carried out individually or collaboratively (consortia) involving research, innovation or design. Projects are created through a grant agreement between the beneficiary (individual or a consortium) and the European Commission and includes funding from the 7th Framework Programme for research, technological development and demonstration activities (FP7), Horizon 2020 or Horizon Europe.

Project Group (PG)

is defined as a collaboration of several projects with certain commonalities that allow for joint dissemination.


Service 1: Portfolio Dissemination & Exploitation Strategy (PDES):

This service is divided into 3 modules that can be ordered individually or, in cases of project groups, combining modules A and B in a package:

Module A: identifying and creating the portfolio of R&I project results.

  • For single project funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed.
  • For PGs from which at least one project was funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed

Module B: helping projects that already have a portfolio of R&I results to design and execute a portfolio dissemination plan.

  • For PGs from which at least one project was funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed
  • This service is available only for a PG with a valid and updated dissemination and exploitation plan.

Module C: assisting projects to improve their existing exploitation strategy.

  • This service is available only for single projects funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed with identified key exploitable results and a draft exploitation strategy.

 

Service 2: Business Plan Development (BPD):

Tailor-made training and support to develop a business plan.

  • This service is available only for single projects funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed
  • This service is available only for a project with a valid and updated dissemination and exploitation plan. The plan should include identified key exploitable results, a draft use model and clear exploitation roles amongst the partners of the project. In case of absence of the later applicants are encouraged to apply and receive first service 1C (PDES-C).
  • This service targets projects approaching the preparation of a Business Plan or willing to improve their existing Business Plan.

 

Service 3: Go-to-Market Support (G2M):

This service prepares project groups, project consortia and/or specific beneficiaries within the project to take their project results to the market. The service provides assistance, coaching, mentoring, contacts with the market stakeholders.

  • For single project or project group from which at least one project was funded under FP7, H2020 or HE, ongoing or closed
  • This service is available for individual projects or project groups with a valid and updated dissemination and exploitation plan including identified key exploitable results and a business plan. In case of absence of such documents applicants are encouraged to apply and receive first service 2 (BPD)

Available G2M services are:

  • Pitching: coaching individual projects or project groups in presenting their product(s) or service(s) to potential investors, identification of relevant events for pitching (forums, trade fairs, expos), identification of venture capitals or and traditional funding mechanisms, how to follow up a pitch;
  • Support and guidance for IPR: orientation of individual projects or Project Groups in using existing EC funded support services. Explanation of the procedures, definitions, regulation on IPR, as well as patenting, IP licensing and sale; freedom of operations -due diligence; transfer of IP.
  • Training in Innovation Management: workshops for individual projects or project groups on product, process and resulting organisational changes
  • Business services (only for individual projects): customized coaching for co-designing a plan for commercial development, feasibility studies to assess potential business plans or support in the creation of spin-offs and start-ups
  • Examining options for exploitation (only for individual projects): analysis of options, based on the key exploitable results, for exploitation/ business implementation
  • Access to non-EU funding (only for individual projects): selection of one of the different non-EU funding opportunities available and support in its application (does not include proposal writing)

Applicants can request one or more of the above mentioned G2M services.

  • Organising your commercialisation = Training in Innovation Management + Business Services
  • Basics of “Go-to-Market” = Pitching + Training in Innovation Management + Examining options for exploitation + Support and guidance for IPR
